Bleacher Reserved Seating
Bleacher Reserved seating is located directly behind the left field wall and is a great place for fans looking to catch a home run ball. Seating in this section is bench style, but does offer a bench back support so you can avoid leaning forward the entire game.
Seats in the outfield are exposed to the sun for most of the day, so these sections are not recommended for fans that prefer to be in the shade.
Views of the main scoreboard will require a full 180 degree turn as it will be located just above in left center field, but this location is also where fans can get closest to the bullpens located just beside section 138.
Seats in the 200 level portion here are also known as the Upper Bleacher Reserved sections.
Box Level Down the Line Seating
The best option of any seating area at PNC Park for fans hoping to bring home a treasured foul ball souvenir. Box Level seating down the baselines puts you between the corner bases and foul poles and keeps you on the lower seating tier, however these sections do not extend all the way to the field due to the Field Level seats just beneath.
The sections here are large with up to 32 lettered rows of seating (single letters in front, double letters in back). Lower rows will have closer views but a longer walk to the restrooms and concessions. If you don't mind a further view, the upper rows (double letters) are a very good option as they are close to the concourse and well protected by the overhanging seating deck above.
For easier views of the videoboard, opt for Box Level seats down the first base side. If you prefer a great line of sight to the bridges and Pittsburgh skyline, the third base side is the better choice.
Field Level Down the Line Seating
Ranging from the corner bases to the foul poles on the Field Level, these sections offer the more affordable option for fans who want to be as close to the field as possible. Be prepared for more sun during midday games though as there is very little structure to provide shade.
With just 8 to 13 rows in each section, the seating areas are small but fans will have to walk all the way to the top of the 100 level to reach the concourse.
Scoreboard watchers will want to opt for seats on the first base side to get a better view of the videoboard, while those on the third base side will get a better vantage point to the Pittsburgh Skyline.
Sections 30-32 near the left field corner have a great seating angle towards the infield making these seats a great option for those looking for a comfortable viewing experience close to the field. The only downfall here is the near 180 degree head turn to see the videoboard.
Field Level Infield Seating
Field Level Infield seating is found on the lowest tier of PNC Park directly behind the two dugouts for close views of the action. Also known as the Dugout Box, sections 20-24 on the third base side are located directly behind the Pirates dugout, while sections 9-13 are located directly behind the visitors.
The big draw to sitting in the Field Level Infield is staying close to the field and getting an up-close view of your favorite players as they head in and out of the dugouts. Small seating sections make it easier to get in and out, however the concourses are a long walk away as the entry tunnels are located at the very top of the 100 level sections.
You won't find much shade when sitting this close to the field, so fans should be prepared for a good amount of sun during day games. Seats on the third base side will have a great viewing angle to the city skyline, while fans on the first base side get a better angle to the left field videoboard.
Grandstand Down the Line Seating
Home to the most affordable tickets without being beyond the outfield wall, Grandstand sections down the line typically have a great price tag, but a less than ideal view to the field.
You can find good overhead coverage near the back of the sections here (Rows R and higher), however it will leave you with a longer walk to and from the seats and the furthest views possible.
Scoreboard watchers are advised to consider sitting on the right field side, as sections near the left field corner will have a difficult time seeing the videoboard (most notably Sections 330-333).
Grandstand Infield Seating
For an affordable day at PNC Park with good views to the impressive Pittsburgh skyline and bridges, the Grandstand Infield sections are an excellent option. Being on the highest seating tier creates a distant view to the playing surface, but also keeps ticket prices lower while giving you the best vantage point to the PNC Park backdrop.
Sections 313-315 and 317-319 are a convenient option thanks to their smaller seating rows, while the back row (R and higher) of Sections 309-312 and 320-323 are a good place to find overhead protection provided by the roof above.
Outfield Reserved Seating
Outfield reserved seating is located behind the right field wall running from the foul pole to right center field. With no other seating sections located in front, these seats are some of the best options for catching a home run ball at PNC Park. And unlike the bleachers in the left field which feature bleacher-style bench seating, these sections will be much more comfortable as they offer a traditional stadium seat.
Outfield Reserved sections have up to 12 lettered rows of seating beginning with Row A at the very front. Sections in right center field (139-141) are slightly smaller providing a better option for fans looking for a shorter walk to the seats from the concourse.
Rooftop Seating
Located above the left field bleachers is the Miller Lite Rooftop Deck, which is the highest and furthest of any of the seats beyond the outfield wall, and will have some of the most difficult positioning to the main scoreboard. Fans will also have a good amount of exposure to the sun during most day games.
Generally reserved for group seating, the Rooftop is a great option for socializing thanks to the dedicated outdoor concourse just above the seats which features numerous bar-top tables and outdoor patio style furniture.

Best Seats for Great Views of the Field
PNC Park features a larger lower seating bowl than many MLB venues, with the upper deck of the inner bowl being occupied by both the 200 and 300 level sections. Given this architectural layout, fans will mostly want to search for tickets in the lower 100 level if searching for the best possible views.
Some of the very best views are found in the lower half of sections 109-112 and 121-124 (rows A through Q). These seats keep you close to the dugouts, provide good angles facing the middle of the infield, and also have a nice elevation above field level which prevents being too low. Seats in the first row (A) will have a railing just in front, but also have good height over the premium box level seats located closer to the field.
Many baseball purists prefer a view from behind home plate, and if you find yourself in that category you will want to search in the middle rows of sections 115-117. From seating rows P through Q you will have expansive straight away views of the field, with a perspective that is tough to match when looking to analyze pitch selection as the ball crosses home plate. Sitting too close to the field in these sections comes with the drawback of being distracted by the protective netting, but as you get higher up you will begin to notice it less and less.
Given the more jagged design of the left field corner, we can't recommend seats down the third base line due to limited views to the near outfield wall. However seating is much shallower near the right corner, where you can find good all around views from box level sections 1-2, or the first 7 rows of sections 103 and 105. There is just a small amount of area near the right field foul pole where you won't be able to see, and although further from the infield, these seats are nicely angled toward the diamond for good viewing angles to the majority of the field.
The 200 level at PNC Park (also known as the PBC level) can feel a bit higher than many other second seating tiers across the MLB due to the larger 100 level and suite level just beneath. However there are still excellent views to be had here, most notably in Rows D and higher of sections 209-210 and 222-223. You will be facing perfectly at the heart of the infield from a good seating height, but we recommend avoiding rows A-C as the railing in front can be a distraction.
With the upper seating tier being shared by the 200 level and 300 level sections, as well as hosting multiple ADA accessible seating areas, there are a significant amount of railings to contend with when sitting in the 300 level seats. For a better mix of clear views without feeling too far removed, pass on these upper deck options and stick with the 100 and 200 level suggestions detailed above.
