Zetex and ZetexPlus Fiberglass Fabrics

Zetex® fiberglass fabrics are widely used for thermal insulation, acoustic insulation, and for protection from heat and fire. These woven high temperature fabrics support operating temperatures up to 1000°F / 540°Cand peak temperatures up to 1300°F / 700°C. This flame retardant fabric ismade from inorganic materials so they will not produce hazardous out-gassing.

Zetex® fiberglass clothisavailable with a variety of high temperature coatings and treatments for specialized high-temperature applications:

• Vermiculite Coating: The proprietary ZetexPlus® vermiculite coating increases the operating temperature resistance of the fiberglass fabric to 1500°F (815°C) and peak temperature resistance to 2000°F (1095°C). This high-temperature coating also improves abrasion resistance. ZetexPlus® vermiculite coated fiberglass fabrics are commonly used in fire curtains, fabric expansion joints, and pipe or tank insulation systems.
  
• Wire Fabric: Zetex® Steel wire reinforcement increases the strength and durability of the Zetex® or ZetexPlus® fiberglass fabrics for improved performance in high vibration or abrasive high temperature environments. These strong flame retardant fabrics are commonly used infire retardant curtains, equipment and pipe insulation, and other high temp insulation systems.
  
• RewettableCoating: Rewettable Zetex® fabrics are coated with a water-activated clay that dries hard to create a firm, fire resistant material. Rewettable fiberglass fabrics are commonly used in asbestos abatement applications.
  
• Additional High Temperature Coatings: Zetex® and ZetexPlus® fiberglass cloth can be color dyed for aesthetic or identification purposes. Theycan also be treated with lightweight coatings designed to reduce fray and irritation or improve resistance to oil and water. These treated high temperature fabrics are commonly used to fabricate protective gloves, welding blankets, and other heat and fire retardant products.
